Using 40B to Override Local Planning Boards

Milford Daily News has an article illustrating how a 40B project is able to ignore any requests and concerns from the Local Planning Board of Bellingham. This frustrating situation can happen to just about any Massachusetts town with a 40B project.

Key points from board members:

"Whatever comments we make, (the developer) does not have to abide by them."

"The only reason they are going with 40B is to bypass the Planning Board."

"They can waive as many construction and subdivision laws as they want."
